About the La Jolla Art Association
La Jolla Art Association was established in 1918. It is a group comprised of more than 50 local artists who exhibit their work at the La Jolla Community Center through a cooperative agreement.
LJAA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit visual arts organization. The mission of the group is to advance the appreciation of fine art in southern California by providing exhibitions and educational opportunities to artists and the public through classes, workshops, and presentations. Artwork created by LJAA artists is displayed on the walls and rooms of the La Jolla Community Center for all to enjoy. All art is for sale, with a portion of each sale benefiting programs and events at the Center. Exhibitions run for 2 months and contact information for each artist is posted on wall tags. The Center also features art receptions throughout the year. To learn more about LJAA, please contact Dottie Stanley, LJAA VP, at dottieaartist@gmail.com. Please call the La Jolla Community Center at 858-459-0831 to schedule a visit to view the Featured Artists in the La Patronas Room; regular classes are held daily, limiting drop-in viewing in that room.
