This book club is designed for people to be able to get together once a month to discuss good books. The goal of the book club is to have FUN, expand our horizons, and exchange ideas with other interesting people! It is so EASY to get busy with our careers and our families, that reading for pleasure takes a back seat. With the LJCC Book Club, you can treat yourself and make sure that you are reading at least 1 good book a month.

The books will be a combination of biographies, nonfiction and/or good fiction paperbacks. Books will be selected according to reputation, other book club lists and reviews for a spirited and entertaining conversation. Come to laugh! Come to learn! Come to discuss! Come to share! Come to have FUN! Come to make sure you are reading good books!

November's book is "The Giver of Stars " by Jo Jo Moyes, a celebration of love, but also of reading, knowledge, female friendship, and the beauty of the hills of Kentucky. Based on a program that was instituted by Eleanor Roosevelt in the mid-1930s, the book is about a group of women that began a traveling library that delivered books to the rural areas on horseback.
