Thanks to the generous support of the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation, the La Jolla Community Center delivered meals to isolated seniors during Thanksgiving and plans another meal deliver on 12/23/21.
"During last year's delivery, members who were isolated shared with us how much it means to receive a delicious meal and connect personally (and at a safe distance) with us," said Nancy Walters, executive director. "We are excited to provide this service and a friendly smile again this year thanks to the support we received from the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation (SDSCF)
The La Jolla Community Center was one of 26 local nonprofits who received funding to provide a variety of Holiday activities, including meal delivery. "We are delighted to support the La Jolla Community Center as one of the organizations involved in our grant program designed to reach isolated seniors," said Kristoffer Kelly, SDSCF's Director of Partnerships.
