The San Diego Bluegrass Society has organized an in-depth introduction to Bluegrass.

Thursday, March 5: The creation and history of bluegrass music and bluegrass instruments
Thursday, March 12: Examine how songs are created and taught
Thursday, March 19: An insiders look at the rules and etiquette musicians use in band or jamming sessions -- the rules that go beyond bluegrass

You don’t need to know a lot about bluegrass to enjoy these sessions. If you play an instrument, bring it with you — and stay after on the 19th for a fun jam session where everyone is welcome to play or just listen.​
